Akhir Pekan Studio is a game development studio from Indonesia, founded in 2022. It was initiated by Andy Lukito, who originally worked as an indie game developer before officially establishing Akhir Pekan Studio in 2022.
Characteristics of Akhir Pekan Studio
Akhir Pekan Studio describes itself as “specializing in crafting immersive experiences for both Mobile and PC platforms. Our games have captivated over 30 million players worldwide, showcasing our commitment to creating engaging and entertaining gameplay. Akhir Pekan Studio has a distinct identity as a game studio. The majority of their games are 3D simulation games with a cartoonish 3D art style. Their games are also very child-friendly, as they contain minimal verbal or physical violence and no sexual content. As a result, most of their games are rated R13 (suitable for ages 13 and up), but in the author’s opinion, they could even be rated R7 (for ages 7 and up).

Warnet Life Simulator
Warnet is an abbreviation for Warung Internet, the Indonesian term for Internet Café. Warnet Life Simulator offers a gameplay experience that simulates running an Internet Café business in Indonesia, featuring many events that closely reflect real-life scenarios in the industry.
One of the most relatable in-game events is when a young student, still in school uniform, gets picked up by his mother after skipping school to play at the warnet. Other challenges include power outages, internet connectivity issues, and even the ghostly presence of a Kuntilanak, a well-known supernatural entity in Indonesian horror folklore that often frightens customers who stay late at night.
This game played a significant role in boosting the popularity of both Andy Lukito and Akhir Pekan Studio, as it was featured by Indonesia’s biggest gaming YouTuber and livestreamer, Windah Basudara. Many clips from Windah Basudara’s livestreams went viral, further popularizing both the game and the creator.
Pecel Lele Simulator
According to Akhir Pekan Studio’s official website, Pecel Lele Simulatoris still labeled as “coming soon” for Steam and the App Store but is already available for preregistration on the Play Store. Pecel Lele itself is a traditional Indonesian dish made from catfish (lele in Indonesian).
Pecel lele is a widely popular dish in Indonesia, especially on the islands of Java and Sumatra. Warung Pecel Lele (pecel lele food stalls) typically operate at night, sometimes staying open until the early hours of the morning.
Pecel Lele Simulator offers a gameplay experience that simulates the daily activities of a pecel lele vendor. While details about the game are not fully confirmed, there is a strong possibility that much of its gameplay will take place at night, in line with the real-life operating hours of pecel lele vendors.
